I have a honda EU20i and love it! especially at home,
in the power board i have an input plug, so if we get a power outage i just plug the genny in, flick the switch and i can run 90% of a 4 bedroom house, 2 fridges, lights, aircon.
also i have an external tank adaptor for the fuel connected to a 20Ltr tank... that'll run for about 2 1/2 days with eco throttle off on the house

Wow..I'm glad this tread has been reopened as I am going through the charge dilemma myself at the moment.
I'm leaning towards solar, with a small generator for back-up.
