if you try to get things the cheap way, it will come back and bite you in the arse, just like the poor bugger in the video, nothing has really been made well in china since I can remember, even as a kid (all those years ago) and people steered clear of there products, just now, poeple look at the dollar and make there decissions that way, but as I always say, the poor man always pays twise, you are better off paying that little bit more and getting a higher quality product that will last you for many many years, and be Australian made and support our industry.
Actually the only thing that china makes well is chinese food, but even then you still have to be careful.

Well I dunno Croosa, I might just respectfully have to disagree. Some people just simply can't afford the finer things in life like a lot of the luckier ones. I brought the KK - BUT at the time I could afford it. I gotta say tho I spent most of my adult life buying cheap and building on to suit because that was my budget back then. There are a lot of handy people out there that can make something of a basic rig like this one and sometimes make it better than the U beaut ones off the shelf. The only real problem I saw with the one in the U tube video was the holy canvas, all the rest were simple things that made the camper cheaper. I haven't seen one of these in the flesh but would like to.

china can make good quality gear

the importer dictates quality by the price he is prepared to pay to undercut and imitate the market leading product

Yes that is right BR, but you can get better quality stuff for the same price as the chinese rubbish, There are heaps of Australian campers on the market for the same price.
