Depends what you want. I have OziExplorer and have purchased the Natmap Raster (whole of Australia Topo) and Queensland Sun.map Raster - Some of Queensland. I also have some public domain maps which cover whole of new south wales and Victoria. The official Victorian 1:25,000 maps are superior to the public domain ones. In general I'd have to say the Topo maps look better and have more detail than the Hema maps I also have.
You might try looking on the
GPS Australia .:GPS Australia:. forums for the public domain maps. I think quite a few members of this forum are members over there too..
It takes a bit to get your head around printing maps from Ozi but it is better than pinting from Natmap or Sun.map direct. An A3 or larger colour printer would be handy...
Mods, This is crazy if I don'd add the period to Sun.map it is treated as a URL and the lookup fails with a 404 error so I can't post. Took me ages to sort it out. Surely the forum can be changed to ignore a URL if the lookup does not work. This has been a constant problem for me. Just about to give up on this forum altogether.
