Magellan Sportrak and GPS log files

LAdies and Gents....

long time lurker and registered user, but i feel like a noob with this GPS stuff (mind you, ask me to get a data stream from one and integrate it into a data logger and i'm happy).

Anyway, i'm heading off to around the Warburton area (vic) with a mate and would like to try one of the tracks in the database from here. Problem is i have buggered around trying to get it onto my old Sportrak as waypoints and/ or tracks but have had no luck.

Was wondering if anyone has any ideas...... have tried a few convertors etc but they are no help. the file type is a MapSend one, and i suspect a Magellan format.

Cheers and will add my 2 cents to the track info... and hopefully some muddy pictures!

Had to grab the file from here in the "STM waypointplus" format (is a txt file).
then used the GPSBABEL utility to convert it to Magellan MapSend format.
It was then created without a .wpt extension so manually added it in.
THEN....finally, it would import it into Discover Aus as a .wpt file.
