Default Google Map Buddy

I found this application recently. It allows you to select a region in Google Maps. It then automatically downloads the individual map sheets and joins them together into a single graphic file. This file can then be loaded and calibrated into Ozi Explorer. Sounds neat and looks like it works OK

Has anybody used this and does anyone know how accurate the maps are when used as moving maps with the GPS plugged in?

Haven't used it, but have tried similar software before that wasn't so friendly to use.

Will check it out!!

I found it a little clunky, but quite effective. However, if you end up with a negative coordinate when you select the download region it crashes! One to be aware of. The other limitation is the output is in PNG format. Never heard of this before, but found that Irfanview can easily convert this to BMP or JPG or just about anything else. Check it out at irfanview.com. Another fantastic freebie.
