G'day Bek,

I have the Route 66 stret nav software on my Hema. I previously had a Navman, and would now stick with the Route 66 street nav. Unlike what I had, the Route 66 allows you to search for locations, addresses etc without actually attempting to navigate there. Once you have found and area, you can explore around and if you decide you want to go there, just select the option to navigate to the cross hairs.

The other (normal) option is to just key in an address and select it. You only need to key in the first couple of letters too, makes it a lot easier. For example, if you wanted to navigate to 1 atkinson street in collingwood, all you would type in is 1 atki coll and push go.

As for accuracy, pretty good, occassionally it will take you a different way to what you would normally go, but then I suppose if you already know the way, you wouldnt be using the thing. Might just be showing you a quicker, or different way than what you normally use.

In general, I would recommend it and unless I am shown or find something a whole lot better, will stick with it on the next upgrade, whenever that may happen to be.

I bought one too, but unfortunately I missed the RACV offer and have to pay $960
But...nothing I can do...I tried it last month and it was good, it works well. It got us out of the bush although we got lost as the bridge was burnt down and have to back track.....

Cheers.
