Default Any Garmin eTrex Legend Fans ??

Hi, I've been let down by the Uniden GPS I bought. I found this great website and realised I cant share my tracks with you all Uniden files dont work anywhere else and cant be converted.

I think I need something new - maybe a Garmin eTrex Legend ??

All I really want is something to help me get UN-LOST.

- MAP POINTS of 4X4 track to help me find my way out
- VIEW created track, follow and add to it along the way (AM I DREAMING HEREWITH THE " ADD TO IT" ??)
- Download and Upload tracks from this site

Dont really need roads etc.

Some questions I have with the eTrex
- where are the buttons located ?
- can you get a car mount for it ?

Dont want to pay big $$ as I often jump back in the car with dirty muddy hands (from playing in mud) and then start pressing buttons to mark the FUN (er deep) places

i just recently bought the Garmin GPS 60csx and i think its brilliant !!!!!!!!!

just hit one button and your gps position is marked and yes it does have a breadcrumb feature. auto save feature and easy to use unit ( well i think so ) yes you can add tracks to any saved tracks.

im still working mine out but it works a treat and i havent been lost yet.

Sounds great. How much did you pay? I see they are in ebay for $450. Can you easily mount it in your car and run 12v to it as required ?

i paid $420 for mine from RYDA.com.au - Great Prices on Car Audio, Mobile Phones, Digital Cameras and GPS Navigation

yes I do have the incar kit which was another $79 bucks

you can buy topo maps for it but the basic map will do fine. you can also buy city navigator 2010 so it will work like a full GPS but i didnt buy it cause i have a TomTom for that.

ill post a couple pictures of it with the car kit for you....

Hi again.. Just ordered the GPSMAP60 Csx from Ryda !! They were good on price and accepted Paypal. I grabbed the Windscreen mount and in-car charger. All up $500 with freight. a bit more than I wanted to spend but your Youtube vid was great and led me to more vids which showed me this is the gear I want.

yeah i paid a bit less as i was a walk in.

i recon its a great unit. i like the breadcrumb auto save that lets you navigate forward and backward on any track you have marked or saved.

awesome buy i think.
