I am after a reliable unit that does on and off road navigation.
So far the KNAV is a Windows CE power unit that can run OziExplorer CE (would need to purchase license) where the Nuvi 1390 can run the Garmin Topo maps (needs to be purchased) or Shonkymaps.
This discussion is to find out from people that have OziExplorer CE hopefully on KNAV GPS there experience and problems and the same for the users of the Garmin 1390 (Nuvi 1200, 1300 and 1400 series included)

Hi bmurry2250 - I've been looking at the 5" KNav on eBay myself. While I am new to the world of GPS and can't answer your question

I would like to know if the KNav units can run Shonkymaps ? From the sounds of your post, maybe it can't ?
Got to do most things on a tight budget, and Shonky comes at the right price

Looking at a Windows CE platform GPS so I can hopefully run some OBD2 scanner software since my Triton doesn't have a trip computer.
Also new to forums so sorry if this is considered hijacking the thread.
