Default Downloading Magellan .log files

Hi all

I've been trying to download a few tracks in the Magellan .log form. Trouble is, when I go to open them up in Mapsend, it states that the file "Doesn't have any tracks"

Anyone encountered this problem, and know how to get around it?

Ta

You sure Mapsend isnt looking at your SD card instead of the Magellen Unit where you probably saved it in...

Oh and another thing, you need to import say Vic,Tassie etc etc from your Magellen into Mapsend before you can use it..Then look at the Menu-Track Log then import to Mapsend..

I'm currently saving the files to the cpu itself, with the intention of transferring them over to the GPSr later on. Still can't get it to work. It finds the file okay, but still states that there's no track. I'm running DAST Topo as the detail maps, but I turned them off and still got the same problem.... No idea

Thanks for the help anyway!

Try converting them to GPx, may need to use GPSBabel program

Agree with Brian, this may just be an alternative.

Aha! Fixed it. I ended up just changing the file extension from .log to .upt, and hey presto, up she came! It presented as a whole set of waypoints... Thanks all!
