Default Clubs -- Brisbane Area?

Hi,

I'm a 4x4 newbie and so would like to join a club for the usual reasons i.e. some advise, possible newbie training course and to get out on a trip or two. I'm a backpacker and so I don't have much time (probably 6 months in Brisbane) or excess cash to spend on the wagon. So does any have any advise on a good club to join, one which does mind a newbie, and doesn't mind someone that wont be around for very long?

I'm sure there are many clubs around Brisbane, so I don't want to start a club war, just looking for a club that welcomes short term visitors.

Thanks.

As far as clubs go IMO have a good look around and you should feel comfortable and the members should make you feel welcom,. but if you don't then that particular club isn't for you. I tend to stay away from the ego-trip and don't particularly like the 'I can conquer anything' type of crap, these people provide more negativity in a club than positive.

Good luck with it.

Depends on which area of Brissie you're from... if you're on the Northside, Caboolture 4x4 Club's pretty good

Happy to welcome you to Twin Rivers 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Beenleigh Tavern. Id recommend joining a non brand specific club so the focus is on members, not abrand of car.

There is a list of clubs in QLD here: Four Wheel Drive Queensland
