Hyundai Terracan, 2005 SLX update

Good Points
comfort level is GR8 can easily sit in the vehicle for an entire days driving
good road mannars
lots of power for the 3.5L V6 & auto box
smooth ride over gravel rds
7 seats from factory(I removed the 3rd row seats to make use of the large boot space)
2.5T towing
full size spare
can run 30" rubber without mods
separate ladder chassis
F&R ARB diff locks availeable
front auto lokka available
is a Gen 2/3 Pajero with slightly different body cladding & hyundai badges

Bad Points
stock ride height leads a lot to be desired(needs to be lifted to venture off rd)
very limited storage whe 3rd row seats in use(once 3rd row seats are removed you got a decent boot space)
come with 28" rubber from factory
alloy side steps a very weak & hang down rather lower
IFS(lack of wheel travel like most IFS 4wds)

What mods have you done?
combined 6" lift:
2" HD Iromnman suspension lift
2" body lift
32" rubber
custom rock sliders
rear storage system
nudgebar(now been replaced)
spotties
winchbar
What mods are on the list to do?
winchbar(sitting in the shed a waiting to be fitted)
3" stainless steel snorkel (sitting in the shed a waiting to be fitted)
F&R ARB diff locks(on order)
UHF
custom rear bar

Why did you buy this vehicle?
was looking to upgrade from my X-Trail test drove a pathfinder didn't like it
looked @ a Navara also didn't like it
couldn't find a Pajero that we could afford
So the boss @ Kloster Nissan took it upon himself & rang all there other car yards & found the Terracan, Nissan sales man drove us over to the yard that had the Terracan & we looked @ it liked what we saw drove it back to Kloster Nissan & loved it.
went home researched the 4wd found out it is built on the Paj chassis & running gear so went back to Nissan the next day & signed the paper work

So now we got our Pajero that is slightly different.

How often do you go offroad?
I'm a UNI student & get 2 hour lunch breaks so pretty much every lunch time I heasd for the tracks which are 5mins drive from UNI

What will your next vehicle be?
If this one dies I will look for another terracan & trandfer all my mods over to it
