Default Hummer H3 Adventure 2007

Hummer H3 Adventure, 2007

Good Points
Most comfortable, quiet touring car around. Vary capable offroad

Bad Points
ISF wheel travel, Hummer being dropped like a bad fart by GM

What mods have you done?
Rancho 4" lift, 35 MTZ's, ARB front diff lock, factory fitted rear locker, revamped rear suspension with additional leafs and military wrap end on second, Pioneer AVIC, Supercharger with custom air box, K&N filter, Safari snorkel with SyKlone pre cleaner, OE Rock sliders, dual battery, custom cargo barrier, custom drawers system with Engel fridge, 55L water tank, Scan guage 2, Tyre Dog tyre monitoring, Custom ARB Bullbar with 10,000lb Mile Marker winch, custom roof rack with storage boxes and 4 X IPF's, side and rear custom length awnings, custom mandrel bent exhaust, UHF with custom aerial mount, ARB compressor, low profile rear shock mounts, 50L roof rack mounted feul tank. Fuel consumption 17.4l/100 on a trip.

What mods are on the list to do?
Just about run out of things to do.

Why did you buy this vehicle?
Best value for money truck at the time and I loved it's attitiude

How often do you go offroad?
1 a month

What will your next vehicle be?
still deciding. Probably be a ute but the 3L Patrol doesn't do it for me and the Landcruiser is seriously over priced to the point of being a rip off. Cab Chassis + bullbar + tray = $72K. I think not.

Nice truck nugget, like your "quote" also.
Do you think you will be ok for service/spares etc with Hummer threatening to pull up stakes in Aus?

Standard is a Vortec 3.7L 5 cylinder petrol. Not known much here but basic fares for GM trucks in the US.

I had mine supercharged to of set the loss of legs due to the 35's

Guilty as charged....was in the pretty early days and a heap more has been done since which is why they did a follow up. My son's Lux is bigger and better as well!

Hi Walkabout,

Whilst I really enjoy the wheel lifting offroad stuff, I really, really enjoy the touring side and some times I think we get a bit carried away and end up with trucks that are great bolder hoppers bit of a dog if you want to actually go anywhere.....I know I have been a serious serial offender in the past! I have tried to keep this truck as a very capable off road that is also an excellent tourer where the on road manners and ride are not significantly compromised.

Hummer have to keep up parts for 5 years anyway but the real safety is that a lot more H3's and H2's have been sold in the US than here so there will continue to be availablility for a long time!
