Default Land Rover Defender TD5 1999

Land Rover Defender TD5, 1999

Good Points
Good anywhere machine. The DeFender wave, being part of a niche group. Parts are easy to come by.

Bad Points
The Seats in the back. Need to upgrade to Puma seats

What mods have you done?
Maxi-drive axles front and rear, ARB onboard compressor, MUD pod dash, IFP spotlights, Dual battery system, TM2 engine watchdog, Roofracks and rear ladder, and many more minor ones for touring

What mods are on the list to do?
Lockers, Turbo timer, 2inch lift.

Why did you buy this vehicle?
It is the only 4WD that you can take off the showroom floor and take out to the brush and the strength of the Defender

How often do you go offroad?
At least twice a month

What will your next vehicle be?
A newer Defender

Nice Defender Willow and welcome to the forum. I have some of your club members living in Algester/Parkinson area which I see very so often.

Thanks for that. Yes the motley crew is starting to grow well. It is a great group if you like a family oriented group.

I had an offer to join earlier in the year but the plans are to move down to Sydney region as soon as the house sells. The crew arranges some good outings.

You should just come along to some of the outings. They can be fun. We have 2 coming up. At the moment 12 4wds going to Levuka for the long weekend and another group heading off to the simpson. If they can get their of course..
