Challenger's are a good 4by. Get the free play fixed it is most likely a ball joint in the steering

Not knocking the big girl, like any used car there is bound to be some maintenance issues that need some form of attention. Currently in the mechanics, found the problem from Saturday.... Who ever did an oil change on it before I got it added an additive to the oil and it became like honey and really thick... To thick for a motor with so few km... So getting the proper 120k service ($750 later!) done and couple things sorted (had oil leak on rocker cover) and getting a wheel alignment done Thursday to identify the free play in the steering, might just be a tired ball joint or tie rod and brakes serviced too, so can't wait to get the big beast back, whom I now call shrek (will post up a pic explaining why lol)
so once I het it back I'll get some pics and when I head to Newcastle on Friday, on the Sunday if the weather is good takin it on Stockton beach with a couple mates and there trucks so hopefully be a good day out and really keen to try out my new toy :-)

I ran the oil cleaner through the engine on the last change and rubbish that came out. I run only run mineral oil in the Prado for the age and k's on the clock.

You will have a ball on Stockton, I am looking forward in getting back down there and driving the dunes again.

Welcome to the forum Forby
My Challenger is stock and has been around a bit and certainly has surprised me and others as to what it's done.
Never under estimate it's abilities as they do very well.
Keep an eye out on the trips and gatherings theres always a few of us out there doing something around the SE Qld area.
