Toyota Prado 95 Series RV TD 2002
Toyota Prado 95 Series RV TD, 2002
Good Points
Handles well & plenty of grunt & a nice ride.
It comes stock with LSD & has made it through everything I have pointed it to with ease. (admittedly, I have only had it for a short amount of time.)
Bad Points
Being the base model I really miss (I know it sounds lame) not having electric windows & remote central locking.
What mods have you done?
Alloy Bar, UHF, USB / Blue-tooth MP3 Player (no track skipping when it gets rough) Goodyear Wrangler All Terrains.
What mods are on the list to do?
Spotties & wouldn't mind getting a decent hand winch.
Why did you buy this vehicle?
Want to get out there & see (& photograph) all the places we wouldn't in a family sedan...
How often do you go offroad?
As often as I can..Mostly Day trips
What will your next vehicle be?
Too soon to tell....

What can I say about the Prado. GO THE PRADO's.
I have the last of the 90 series before the 95's came out. Same in very way besides some lights but they are good all round and great for touring

Yes it is but doesn't have newer lights. Mine is a 1998 and full changes occurred 1999. Gave the new headlights , tail lights and the reserve tank increased to 90l. Besides that not much difference I have found

yep thats right, just some cosmetic changes to door trim, but we have the better lights, ours are full glass, so we can upgrade to brighter/hotter bulbs. I think the biggest change was the addition of traction control.

Took it on its first REAL track in Tassie at the begining of the month... (& my first track to)
Montezuma Falls from Melba Flats... I am amazed at what these 4WD's are capable of..
I think I am hooked now... did it with out bending or scratching anything too... (I think there may be a couple of real fine scratches on it...but dont tell the missus
