Myfirst4x4 the standard discs on the front of the 62 series are plenty strong for the cruiser and they run a four spot caliper standard and are quite adaquite for V8 conversions to pass a VASS engineer test and report with no mods to them. As for the rear still working on that one not sure what will bolt straight on with no custom made bits

Hi Monk2 thanks that is good to know. sure have a lot to learn about my 4bie. I read that you can run the front discs on the back with Holden HZ or so calipers as they only have two mounting bolts via an adaptor plate. Don't know the truth though. From my hot rodding days I found that early series Volvo 244 GL diffs had discs standard also with 4.11 ratio but Holden bolt pattern. These diffs are Dana 44's as used in Jeep Scouts & early Cherokees so if their bolt pattern & width matches Landcruisers that could be an option.
Interesting diffs as they have thicker axles than a Ford 9 inch 28 spline (that everyone raves about) are indestructable and could be had for about $50.
