Thumbs up draw systems

Hi guys
I was offered a draw system from a Prado to try to fit into my Paj for a $1000 but am not
willing to spend that much just to cut and shut it to make it fit . I have just been given a
whole lot af marine ply , so ive dicided to do it my self .
So if anyone has some detailed pics of their systems i can see so i can use them to design
my own system would be most helpful. As just think the more ideas the better.

Have a serious think about what you want to store in them and how it would best suit your situation, just changed mine the other day to suit a new fridge so had to reorganize things again, thats the good thing about working with wood. Cheers

Depends on what needs cutting. You might get away with just cutting the side boards, then it may be worth it, but having to alter the drawers themselves would be a pain in the arse. The location of the
lockdown points may be a hassle too. What sort/brand are they?

CAN YOU WELD?

I made my Drawer System for $450 INCLUDING BUYING THE WELDER.

I learnt how to weld ON THE JOB - It's amazing how many rough welds can be cleaned up with an ANGLE GRINDER!

Looks like a good system, do your water containers get hot were they are ?.
I was thinking of installing solar panels on both windows to try to keep out
the sun

One thing for sure is that the fridge slider ( wether it be made or bought ) will have
to double as a tool box slider when fridge not in the car.
its good to pick peoples brains to see what works.................

There are two 10 ltr water containers there (They do NOT get hot with normal window tinting) & I run a pump using one of those cheap showers with the head replaced with an Urn tap. I do not have to take the containers out.

Behind the front seats I carry a 55 ltr water bag for long trips as well.

The Drawer runners are made from UNISTRUT P4000 (Comes in 6 mtr lengths) that you can get from Wholesale Electrical Supplies with 22 mm Bearings fitting perfectly (About $1.50 each).

The drawer stops are DOOR STOPS, upside down with a handle welded on.

Google "Daves Drawers" and you should find a downloadable set of plans
