Winch bar and Winch
Hello All,
After getting stuck at Bunyip last month, I have decided to get a winch bar and winch.
Got a quote from ARB, $1600 for the bar, Magnum $900.
I'm now looking at an Iron man bar, With a Tiger11 12000lbs.
If anyone and purchased any of the above, any feed back would be appreciated.

So far everything I've heard has been good for the Tigerz11 winch.
Dunno anything about the bar!

I have the Tiger winch & it has been great, the Ironman bars aren't as strong as say an ARB bar & they take twice as long to install because they don't fit properly. I think you get what you pay for & what is a few extra dollars now compared to many more dollars later if the product fails.

I had a 9000lb Magnum, it struggled a bit.
I have since put a tigerz single speed 12000lb on, and it is all good so far, comes with a remote as well.
I would of had to buy a remote for the magnum.
The 2 speed winches are a bit more maintenance, so i went for a single speed.
If you are in comps you would want a 2 speed i guess.
Both are about the same quility, both from China, both copies of the Warn.

I heard Warn gets them made in China, The Warn winch made in the USA is like 3 times the price, Magnum is only around $900. It has warn in very small print on it.
I could be wrong i am just Quoting what i was told.
Warn does import the Magnum in here.

Yeah, the bloke from ARB said that the Magnum was Warns answer to combat the Chinese winch on the market. Didn't quite do it for me.
I have decided on on an ARB bar with a Tigerz11. A little more than I wanted to spend, but worth it as a long term investment. Should do the trick.
Thanks for your help lads.

Tigerz11 is good value and some feedback I have heard has been positive. I have noticed they are getting dealers in each state now

My son put an Ironman bar on his 100 series and was unlucky enough to hit a roo on the way back from Darwin. Bar folded back like paper and took the left mudguard and headlight assembly out. He replaced it with an ARB bar.
The Iron man is a lot thinner steel than the ARB.
