If anyone is interested in a trip to Glasshouse on Saturday we will be meeting at the BP at Burpengary at 8.15am for a 8.30am departure. Will also be available on uhf 10. Will post pics tomorrow on our return.

We went to Glasshouse this morning as planned but only got a couple of hours of driving before my mates 80 series developed clutch problems and then had all the warning lights on the dash light up like a christmas tree after a deceptively deep mud hole. Decided to play it safe and headed for home to sort out his truck. Not many photos due to the trip being shortened but heres a few.

Damn mud. Spent $25 at Carlovers last night and still couldn't get it all out from underneath. Sometimes it takes nothing short of a half a plug of gelignite to move this stuff.

My mates 80 series is fixed now. A heap of mud and water caused his clutch problems and he drowned his alternator following me through this mud hole. Click on this link.

yeah i learnt after that trip to bugger at least the alternater was under warranty

Mud killed my last engine it got in the alt and when i was on the highway it seezed snaped the belts and cracked the head all in about 30 sec. Needles to say i have a different outlook on playing in mud now. I still enjoy the hard stuff and still go threw mud, but only when i have to, or my pride is at stake
