Exclamation all over the road

Hi all out there in 4x4 land, i have yet another problem with my D21 pathfinder. lately when driving on or off road when i hit a bump or the camber of the road changes its all over the road, and i was off road last weekend and a mate of mine was following and said when i hit a bum my front wheels shake all over the place. the only mods that could make any difference to my steering is a set of 31 kumho's i got off a mate, they are old rubber but i cant see that should make that much of a difference

thanks for your help

G'day mate. Sounds like worn shockers or bushes.

Best take it to a front end specialist. Agree with Joe and could be a ball joint also

Try checking your wheel bearings also. They might just need nipping up a bit. Should be no vertical play when you jack up the wheel and grip it top and bottom and try to rock the top and bottom of the tyre in and out.

I had that problem on my cruiser. it was the pan hard rod bush. the big tyres seem to chew it out. if you cant see anything visually wrong with it give it a push with a tyre leave or large screw driver to see if theres any cracks in it. 31's aint that big but are they wide or balanced? I'd check those bushs

i'd go with worn shocks.. but these things chew steering components out, my dads navara d21 used to eat pitman arms..

i agree to take it to a front end specialist or reputable mechanic
