Default Flinders Ranges & Outback SA

Picked up a map/brochure the other day "Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula, Outback South Australia - 4WD Tracks & Repeater Towers".
It's got a good size map showing all the repeater towers, PAR's, and 4WD tracks in those areas....also information on 4WD self drive treks etc. A lot of the self drive treks I have never even heard of, I didn't realise there were that many in the Flinders.

It can also be downloaded (5mb) from:South Australia - 4WD brochure

The paper version has a much clearer map than the PDF version tho.

Hope the info is useful to somebody

Cheers
Glenn

Good stuff Dirtbag. I've just printed it off and it looks interesting. The wife and my good self are heading to the Flinders at Easter time for some camping and do as many tracks as we can whilst we're there.I believe there are over 600k's of tracks there to enjoy.

We were there last year on our way back from the Simpson desert, camped at Rawlinson Park which is quite a good caravan park, recommend the Skytrek Drive ( Willow Springs station) incredible diversity of country , also recommend a plane flight over the pound , really worth while .

Bushnut, must agree, Rawnsley Park is our most frequented spot in the Flinders. Tony does a good job of maintaining and updating the park.

They also have some self drives at a reasonable price and moderate drive rating.

We did the Flinders a few years back, 5 tracks in 5 days. Skytrek was good but for a more challenging track check out Arden Hills out of Quorn. Drop into the Austral Pub to get the gatekey.

Ekki,

Another track north of Arden Hills is Argadells, it takes you to the top of Mt Arden.

You can see the fence line dividing the two propertys when you are driving Arden Hills track.
