My guess the answer is somewhere out there with that other one "whats the best four wheel drive".

Try doing a search on the forum. There has been many many posts on this matter with pro's and cons. He is a start for you: Wheels & Tyres - 4x4 Earth

Hope you find what your looking for here. Happy wheeling

Not at all... If ya don't ask then you never know I say. Have a read of the various threads in the section I sent you. That might just give you a little head start to making some informed decisions.

I wood suggest the MAXXIS Bighorn, $280.00 per tyre for a 33", but thats just my opinion.

The best and cheapest M/T is the one you can buy with the least amount of money that will survive and perform for what you intend it to do.

In other words one brand or type of M/T tyre might be good for one persons needs but not another.

Best and cheap should not be used in the same sentence.

Maybe you should be asking what is the best M/T tyre for under $XXX or for my budget of $XXX.

We use Toyo Open Country M/T tyres because we need a strong tyre with heavy sidewalls for what we do so we pay a premium, another factor is noise as we travel long distances to get to off road areas but we are not fussed about wear.....other people may not need a strong tyre with heavy sidewalls but they want a tyre that is quiet and needs a tyre that can last 70,000 kilometres and still be OK in mud.

Another thing is not all tyres are suitable for all vehicles, Brand X may cause the vehicle to wander at high speed where Brand Y that is either cheaper or dearer may make the vehicle stable or Brand X may wear funny and Brand Y doesn't.

So as said before the best and cheapest M/T is the one you can buy with the least amount of money that will survive and perform for what you intend it to do.

G'Day..

I'm sure everyone has a differnt opinion of "cheap" so give us your price range and we can direct you accordingly...

Also, what size tyres etc.... I am currently running 33" (305/70/16) BFG M/T KM2 and I love them!!

Cheers!

Try a set of Maxxis Bighorns mate. They tested really well in 4wd Action mag. I run them in a 315/75/16 (35 inch) on my cruiser and so far so good.
